I had a fantastic time at the Borders Wedding Show in Kelso yesterday. The show happens annually and this year attracted over 70 fantastic local suppliers from across the Scottish Borders.
As always, I took my crew - Mum (glamorous show assistant) and boyfriend (top grafter) to help out. It used to take 5 hours to set up and now we're down to 1 - dream team!
I love attending wedding shows for so many reasons. Firstly, it's brilliant to meet new and excited couples and hear their engagement/wedding planning stories. There were some real characters yesterday! So many people picked up items and exclaimed how good they felt. From textured card to velvet and matt finishes - nothing beats seeing a design in real life as oppose to online.

Secondly, it's a brilliant chance to meet fellow suppliers. I work alone, as do many others, and it's nice to share experiences with fellow freelancers. It's also an invaluable opportunity to make business connections and better still - friendships!
